Rhapsody Sound + Vision in Hilversum is the first dealer who has the PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP Integrated Amplifier ánd the PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP Poweramplifier on demo.

Rhapsody is -till now- the Number One  Sonus faber and Audio Research dealer in the BeNeLux. So for us it is very important to know how they judge these new PrimaLuna models. Well, their reaction was very simple, but also very clear.

The PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP Integrated Amplifier was connected to their € 40,000.- (a pair) TAD loudspeakers and the system was sounding EXCELLENT. The PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP Integrated Amplifier was using standard PrimaLuna 12AU7 tubes and Tungsol KT120 tubes. The same Audio Research is using in (most of) their amplifiers.

Harry called me to ask for the prices of my new PrimaLuna “babies”. I hear Michael “dancing and singing” in the background. So I already knew he was very happy with the performance. I told him € 3,750.- for the Poweramplifier and € 3,950.- for the Integrated Amplifier. Ok, Harry said, and for what price are we going to sell them. I said “what do you mean”? “For what price we sell them” Harry responded. “But I just gave you the prices Harry. These are the retail prices including salestax”. For a short moment Harry was silent. “Huh … Retail including salestax”?

“But, but why offer other brands the same configuration at double the price? Are you sure your prices are not too low”? “Harry, the prices are what they are and with this quality and these prices I want to beat at least one famous brand. Wait what we will offer within the next 12 months. I will amaze you, them, and make the Italians cry till they have no tears left”.

The other set of Integrated Amplifier and Poweramplifier will depart from our warehouse Friday to Dé Hifiwinkel in Beek-Ubbergen. Rob Wilms was expecting these today, but the cartons did not fit into my car.
