Finally … the second N.O.S. model in our range of Kiseki cartridges. Built with a mix of parts from the past and today. Only 49 pieces available. Most already gone before we have mentioned the availability here or elsewhere on the social media. Have a look.
The third model we hope to do as a N.O.S. model, is the Kisek BlackHeart N.O.S. Very, very few of these will become available. Around 10 pieces. Same quantity we hope to be able to make of the Kisek Agaat N.O.S.
Most of you have probably read about Pono, the next Music Player, by Neil Young. If you Google you can find more about it than I can squeeze out of my keyboard.
What I am thinking about this, is: Will this Pono have a chance? Maybe. Because it’s the best? Because it has a certain pricepoint? Because it is related to Neil Young? Because guys like Meridian and Ayre have been involved? Because the record-industry is involved? Or because it has FUNNY COLORS and has a FUNNY SHAPE?
If it wins, it is -I think- because it is FUNNY COLORS and has a FUNNY SHAPE. And if CURRENT popular artists will be seen with it and will make it COOL for the YOUNGSTERS -not for OLDiophiles- to have the same gadget as their idols. That’s the FUN of it! The MARKETING will WIN and seeing the the video below, makes me believe PONO has a good chance.
And IF ….. these youngsters happen to discover a MUCH BETTER MUSIC QUALITY than the sound from their mobile phones, maybe, MAYBE, there are some smartasses in our industry who can translate that to a better quality inhouse music system. Just a thought. Maybe just a dream :-). Neil’s dream. Our oldiophile’s dream?

Met trots en genoegen kunnen wij U meedelen dat we vanaf heden mee mogen werken aan het veilig stellen van Franco Serblin’s nalatenschap.
Franco Serblin was de oprichter, ontwerper, eigenaar (samen met zijn schoonzoon Césare Bevilacqua) van Sonus faber. Het eerste opvallende Sonus faber ontwerp van zijn hand was The Snail.
Voor degene die interesse heeft in Serie Nummer 1 en daar véél voor over heeft … De huidige eigenaar zou dat paar willen verkopen, maar -eerlijk is eerlijk- het gehoorde bedrag is niet gering.
Na de verkoop (helaas!) van het bedrijf Sonus faber aan de eerste uit het rijtje investeerders, kroop het bloed toch weer waar het niet gaan kon … En Franco was weer volop bezig met het ontwerpen van diverse audio producten.
Het resultaat was een drietal bijzondere projecten die hij in handen heeft gegeven van zijn schoonzoon Massimiliano, die onder licensie deze projecten in zeer gelimiteerde aantallen produceert. Zijn bedrijf heet LABORATORIUM en dat beschrijft in één woord wat U mag verwachten van deze producten.
Franco Serblin’s producten worden vervaardigd door LABORATORIUM in Vicenza, worden in BeNeLux vertegenwoordigd door DUROB AUDIO BV en zijn in Nederland verkrijgbaar bij Rhapsody in Hilversum en DÉ HifiWinkel in Beek-Ubbergen.
De komende tijd zullen we regelmatig aandacht schenken aan alles rondom de bijzondere producten van de hand van deze bijzondere man Franco Serblin.
