Arms of Love in our Warehouse … The Wherehouse of Open Dreams!

attic-treasureRemember the good old feeling when you where a small kid and could spend hours in the attic of your grandparents and find most wonderful stuff? Old (tube!!) radios, musical instruments, dolls, old furniture, tools … Everything you can think of and more.

Same in our warehouse. Next to the current stocks we have all kind of interesting materials from the past. Gone are the times that we could say: Look 2,000 Decca tone-arms  … But they were there! In the meantime we gave some away and sold most of them (except a few).

But … You can not stand on 1 leg, so certainly not on 1 arm. What else did we find? Different tone arms! SME, Sony (long version), SAEC, Pluto (early models 1 and 2), Decca. I am sure we also still have (somewhere) a Dennessen tangential air bearing arm, a Blue Note tone arm and maybe other beauties. And … these are for sale! Here we go!

plutologoToday I would like to offer to the world 2 tone-arms from Master Eddie Driessen. Pluto One (wood shaft) and Pluto Two (metal shaft). Pluto Two has been used and might need a repair. Pluto One has never been out of the box! Pluto One I would like to sell for € 1000,- and Pluto Two for € 500,-. Both as they are + shipping. These prices are more than reasonable for these Pluto Audio collector items. See pictures below.

001-Kiseki PurpleHeart N O S001-Kiseki PurpleHeart N.S.

The third model we hope to do as a N.O.S. model, is the Kiseki BlackHeart N.O.S. Very, very few of these will become available. Around 10 pieces. Same quantity we hope to be able to make of the Kiseki Agaat N.O.S. And in the meantime we work on the Kiseki BlackHeart N.S. and Kiseki Agaat N.S.

From Simple Aluminium To An Extreme Monocoque Carbon Body

revolverI am not interested at ALL in guns. Guns are trouble. Although I must say I once was very much attracted to a very elegant small gun one of my (audio equipment) suppliers was showing me, while I was visiting him. The stylish gun was made totally out of stainless steel, highly polished and highly attractive and felt good in my hand. We were discussing how to get the thing shipped over to The Netherlands potted in a transformer-cover to make it “invisible” for the local custom people. But, don’t worry, it was never shipped :-). It was just the ecstacy of the moment.

I was thinking about that while I was surfing the internet last weekend for examples of SOLID CARBON products. Why? Well simply because, while we had in the 80’s-90’s some samples made of products in Monocoque Carbon material. In the end we did not use it as we found PurpleHeart and BlackHeart (both very hard kinds of wood) sonically better than Carbon and less troublesome to handle. But nevertheless, it came up and I searched.

It’s very funny that most of what I found was related to … guns. The things I don’t like. Not the real ones and not the virtual ones used by “not-so-smart salesmen” who have always a virtual gun in their pocket: “If you do not order this now, you will not get such or so in January”. Or “We take this away from you now”… Terrible people.

kisekicarbonSo I found gun manufacturers using Monocoque Carbon in their products. Interesting. How about spearfishing with a monocoque carbon gun. How good that sounds? Maybe not for the poor fish. Special Audio accessories Made in Korea. Jewelry, like rings. Sunglasses. Should we make Monocoque Carbon bodies out of it like we did in the 80’s and 90’s? Kiseki Carbon :-). Who knows we get into this material again.
