The art of … Launching a product is more than manufacturing a good design …

launchBeing confrontated all day long with all kind of problems in different products is a good thing. At least if you learn out of that and if you get the opportunity to do something with it. I was thinking about that when we received today a carton with 100 new laser-assemblies. Laser-assemblies for our new PrimaLuna ProLogue Premium CD Player. As you might know this is a heavy tubified machine, not the cheapest but still one with a very high price/quality ratio, born in the late days of the cd and all that means … no mass quantities. But still, like any other product, we have to be able to give after sales service for the next ** years.

andreasThose of you who frequently visit DÉ HifiWinkel in Beek-Ubbergen or frequently read this durobblog or follow the international press KNOW the name Andreas Koch and KNOW Playback Designs. Go back in time on this durobblog and read about what Andreas has done for this industry and specially for the digital part of it. Remember the visit by Werner Ero to Theerd, one of DÉ Hifiwinkel’s customers, and the story he wrote about. Tjeerd is using a MPS-5. Rob Wilms, store manager of DÉ HifiWinkel just ordered himself an MPS-3 cd player. And several of his best customers do the same. It’s striking how many people enjoy Playback Design in our relatively small high end community.

Pro High End Russian Magazine on the Audia Strumento Set: “Impossible, is Possible!”

audiaflightlogoZoals U hier al eerder heeft kunnen lezen was audio-recensent en liefhebber René van Es aardig onder de indruk van de Audia Strumento voorversterker. Erger nog, omer zelf een te kunnen bezitten, deed hij er (een deel van?) zijn 2e set voor weg. Sinds dat moment fonkelt de Audia Strumento samen met een Audia Flight 50 eindversterker in Huize van Es. Als die eindversterker nou ook maar eens *hoog te tillen was …
