Krell Industries, LLC (Demo Room SR-11), the leader in high performance music and home theater systems, is demonstrating the latest in digital connectivity/processing and high-resolution audio streaming technology with the Foundation and Connect at this year’s CEDIA.
The CE Pro BEST and EXC!TE CEDIA award-winning Krell Foundation is a 7.1- channel AV processor that features the latest digital connectivity with 10 HDMI 1.4a inputs, balanced audio outputs, automatic setup and room EQ. From decoding the latest lossless audio formats, extensive digital switching, 3DTV pass-through, bit-for-bit accuracy and more, the Foundation is fully compliant with the digital age and also maintains Krell’s exacting standards for analog audio reproduction. The Foundation was designed with flexibility and ease-of-use in mind, with extensive routing capability of the audio inputs to the various outputs. Krell’s Intelligent HDMI switching provides the fastest signal recognition possible. The Foundation also features Krell Automatic Room Equalization System (ARES), which ensures the best possible performance by analyzing all the speakers by location, phase, and distance to determine the best frequency, delay, and more. The Foundation is the ideal combination of audiophile performance, custom integration features, and a compelling price point for dealers to present to their clients.

The Krell Connect is the ultimate in high-resolution audio streaming players. From FLAC to WAV, Apple Lossless, MP-4a, MP3 and WMA, the Connect plays back up to 192kHz/24-bit audio plus Internet radio, all to Krell’s highest audio fidelity standards. The Wi-Fi equipped Connect is available in two forms: digital only, or with a built-in Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) module. The DAC-equipped Connect has a 32-bit ESS Sabre chipset with discrete, direct-coupled analog circuitry outputting via RCA or balanced audio outputs. The digital-only version has both coax and Toslink optical outputs. The Connect is rack mountable and with its clean styling will look great in any A/V rack or entertainment center and is a vital component to any A/V system. Add iOS App control and automation integration and the Connect is the perfect choice for high performance network streaming.
“Both Foundation and Connect are our customers and integrators’ answers to upgrading systems to Krell performance with the latest digital technologies,” said Bill McKiegan, Krell President. “At our demo room, you’ll be able to experience the seamless integration of Foundation and Connect with other signature Krell systems, but also the convenience of operating them remotely with today’s smartphones and tablets.”
